The Newmarket branch of the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce held their lunchtime networking event at the Bedford Lodge Hotel in the town recently.
I was asked to cover the event for promotional purposes to go into regional press and the Chambers magazine.
I cover a lot of these type of events, the key is to produce natural looking shots while not being noticed, it's not as easy as it sounds! You want people to enjoy their event without me sticking a camera right in their face, but keeping in mind the necessity to get all the shots that's required from the brief.

The Suffolk Chamber of Commerce and Bid 4 Bury held their networking lunch at the revamped Wingspan Bar underneath the historic Angel Hotel in Bury St Edmunds Suffolk.
I was asked to cover the event for promotional usage both in the regional press and the Chambers members magazine. I got the chance to sample the fancy food as well, not sure about the pigs tongue!

I was asked by the Alzheimers Society to produce a series of images for a feature about "Food First", a project in Bedforshire that is helping to improve the nutrition and well being of residents in care homes.
I went to visit Lady Spencer House just outside Dunstable to document one of their lunchtimes, it was a humour filled lively few hours with the staff really wanting to implement what they had been taught.
I came away with some lovely natural portaits.

I did a shift at the Bury Free Press last weekend. I had to cover the Mid Suffolk Show at Stonham Barns.
Just as I arrived it started to pour down, so all the events that were taking place quickly took cover, as did everyone else, apart from these four!

Lat week I photographed 2012 Olympic Gold Medalist Etienne Stott for UK Power Networks at their depot in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
A real race against time to photograph Etienne as he needed to be interviewed for their in-house magazine and was due to give a motivational talk to UK Power Networks staff.
I was given a couple of minutes to get the shots. They wanted their logo in the background, as there was none around the building, I put him against a van, lit it and shot!
Welcome to my blog, here I will endeavour to keep you updated about my work, ideas and visual goings on.
